Just like water cannot be contained by borders, no longer can meaningful life transition rituals be confined by traditional borders.
Ritual acts, rites of passage and ceremonies have not come to us strictly from religious traditions, though they have often been housed, confined or "bordered" by various religious traditions. The desire to honour and creatively mark a life transition ~ a moment or event in time, is deep within each one of us as human beings: biologically, spiritually and culturally.
When we fail to honour life's transitions through appropriate and honest rituals that wrap us and those we care deeply about in a powerful and symbolic way, we risk these moments drifting into well-worn clichés and false images to fill the void.
Significant times, events and feelings ~ joyous times and times of sorrow ~ alter the very landscape of our lives. And so this site is for people that wish to mark these moments and feelings through a meaningful ritual, ceremony, rite of passage, or celebration. And it is my vocation to be a resource and witness to these times in your life.
